生活裡我們有意無意總會劃很多小圈圈，在圈圈裡面的人，通常是我們覺得值得或是有相關的人，也許是好友，也許是重要的客戶，互動密切的同事等等，而被我們「圈」進來的，總是最了解我們的一切現況。

「請隨時讓我知道進展如何？」這句話，通常比較正式的用法是用”update”這個字，所以我們常聽人說”please update me of the progress” 或是”keep me updated !”。

然而，若不想聽起來太嚴肅，讓即使是工作上的客戶也能感覺到我們把他們當作「自己人」，這時候，就可以用比較口語的”loop”（圈圈）來表示。.

peter： (to client) daniel，i’m just wondering if there’s any progress on the proposal i submitted to you last week?

peter： (對客戶) daniel，我在想，不知道上個禮拜我給你的提案，有沒有任何進展呢？

daniel：right! we’re still in the process of finalizing our objectives and budget. i think by next wednesday, we should be able to come up with a decision.

daniel：噢，對！我們目前還在針對方向還有預算做最後的確認。下個禮拜3之前，應該就會有個結果了。

peter：i’m sure you need to put a lot of things into consideration. after all, it’s a very important project for your company. do keep me in the loop, please!

peter：我當然知道這麼重要的一個案子，你們需要多方考量，加油囉！要告訴我進展如何喔！

daniel：that’s for sure. i’ll definitely keep you in the loop!

daniel：那是當然的。我會隨時讓你知道進展的！.

所以下次你跟客戶回email時，不妨最後也加上一句，”keep me in the loop， please!”言語間就釋放了很多的善意與輕鬆的感覺，畢竟講這句話，代表你把你的客戶也給「圈進來」了！
